Saturday, July 25, 2020 - After a long run of AVERAGE Saxum bottles this finally broke the mold and showed quite well. I think these wines need a long time in bottle to unwind and this was no exception. Beautiful wine, that reminded me what I love about Saxum however my palate has changed and I no longer desire these high alcohol full throttle wines that much.

5/31/2021 6:53:00 AM - Hi! Just saw this. I have found that many of the Saxum wines I have opened recently just arent providing much pleasure. They are mostly monolithic and singular with high alcohol. I decant them all several hours so either they are in a dumb phase, or my tastes have changed. I think its more a matter of my tastes changing to more delicate and balanced wines from France... Hope that helps.
