Wednesday, December 11, 2013 - I drank this wine alongside the same vintage of Chateau Suduiraut which is a wine I love a great deal. The d'Yquem, however, is a wine I love more. The colour is gold, the nose is flowery, honey, on the palate not hugely sweet with caramelised orange and spice and white flowers but, above all else, an elegance which all other Sauternes doesn't manage to achieve. A wonderful wine and I must thank my good friend Andy Chapman for giving me the opportunity to drink it.
