Sunday, July 24, 2016 - Awesome Yquem that is drinking well now, but I am sure has years (even decades) of life left in it. I was mostly struck by the incredible balance of this wine! Sweet, but not overly sweet, the acid is just right to match the sweetness of the wine. While the flavors were well integrated, I found myers lemon custard to be the predominant flavor, along with stone fruits, pear and a hint of ginger. The wine was absolutely delicious, and I cannot imagine anyone being disappointed opening a bottle now....of course, I cannot imagine anyone being disappointed in opening a bottle later either :)
