Thursday, December 21, 2017 - Darker than expected. Sweet and sour VA nose initially, but this settled down. A lot of oak on the nose, the fruit ripe but submerged. Lacking the openness and spicey warmth I associate with this cuvee. A stylistic shift, firmer and more structured but I am not convinced it is the better for it.
