Wednesday, October 23, 2019 - So it would seem I need to take a hard look at and reconsider my Rhys skepticism for all these years. This was a dead ringer for Dujac. Beautiful stem/whole cluster aromas—sweet cinnamon mingling with a rich yet fresh red fruit. Cooling acidity balances the fruit. It’s opulent and balanced all at once. Really very convincing stuff, even for the tarrif. In the past I’ve tended to feel the Rhys wines had too much cola to them. Not so here.
