Wednesday, February 22, 2023 - Double blind tasting
Medium ruby with moderate clearing at rim
Medium plus aromas of red/ blue berries and plum with dark florals and asphalt - used oak notes
Medium bodied with palate of red and blue fruit
High tannins - quite fine grained with medium plus acidity and medium alcohol
Great length led by fruit and tannins
Quite a dark and somewhat brooding Barolo - quite enjoyable however
I would recommend holding at least 3-5 yrs - this is still fresh on the nose and tannins remain high
