Saturday, July 18, 2020 - Decanted for 5 hours, but wasn’t enough as this needs another 10 years. The decanting however did help this a lot and is very enjoyable with proper wide-based decant time. Intense black cherry, strawberry, raspberry, cassis, five spice, loads of cinnamon and clove, some background vanilla and tobacco, full body, great balance with a finish of a wall of high tannins. Like Jeb said, this is a classic example of Napa Cabernet. Great wine, but I don’t see this as “perfect”.
