Saturday, December 12, 2020 - Tasted alongside a 2017 Realm The Bard and a 2017 Carter Weitz Vineyard. The cork had some seepage but nothing that would make a somm consider the wine flawed. No sign of aging visually. A healthy amount of vanilla on the nose but more linear with a metallic nature to it, dried dark fruit on the palate more like a clean, classified growth Bordeaux. The finish ended faster than one would like. Will be interesting to see if another bottle will yield consistent results or if the cork actually did prematurely age the wine.
