Tuesday, January 23, 2024 - This wine was the surprise of the evening. Ex-Chateau, this wine was great. It was fresh and bright, with a somewhat floral nose, that led to notes of plum, currant, blackberry, cedar, tobacco, forest floor. Lovely and long, though others at the dinner who had had this vintage before suggested that perhaps these ex-chateau bottles were in such good shape that they were literally the perfect expression of the wine & the vintage.
