Wednesday, December 20, 2017 - Decanted at 1:30 then replaced in bottle to take to a tasting dinner and drunk late in the evening. Medium dark garnet color with a huge amount of sediment requiring careful decanting. It is somewhat light to medium bodied for vintage port but very enjoyably restrained. Plenty of ripe red and black fruit and strong hints of chocolate and blackberry liqueur especially on the finish. Great with some strong cheese.
