Sunday, November 18, 2018 - Quite a reasonable QPR wine at our acquisition cost. A lovely and now mature Anderson Valley pinot which has really softened, rounded out and integrated. Decanted for 2 hours+ and it really benefited from that. Clearly a CA pinot, not burgundian in style at all but now much softer and better balanced then the previous bottles. Very dark purple, long aftertaste, nose of dark fruit / brambles and primary flavors of dark cherry, anise and tobacco. Just beautiful with a 2-hour decant. Definitely recommend this wine.
