Monday, August 18, 2014 - Lively colour, good depth, youthful appearance, little browning at the edges; nose opens up well in the decanter, still primary, gravelly depth, lead pencil, blackcurrants, black cherries, hint of prune, smoky oak, mint and lovage; the palate displays ample, grainy but ripe tannins and the extraction does not seem to have been exaggerated, there is freshness and balance, it has weight but it does not seem to have real density and power; complete finish, good length. Drink now - 2020/2023.
