Thursday, October 1, 2020 - Seven years post vintage, and it’s still a bit reductive after I pop the screw cap. That disappeared after 30 minutes or so, and revealed a broad shouldered, but still vibrant wine that showed darker tones than I would have expected. It’s a brooding Riesling, Strider in the fire light at The Inn of the Prancing Pony. It’s intellectual but regal, a true warrior statesman. I will hold my last bottle for quite while longer, so that perhaps the sage, benevolent liege will emerge.
