Saturday, September 30, 2023 - Excellent Napa Cab. Deep purple color just starting to move to reddish brown. Opened and let sit for 2 hours. Nose was powerful Jumped out of the bottle as it was uncorked Black fruits like black cherry and dark plums. Cooked fruit on the nose. Flavor was not overwhelming fruit but very balanced with fruit and earthy and mushroom flavors. Slight vanilla and cedar on the finish Tannins were soft and acidity balanced. This wine is as good as it’s going to be now but will keep evolving for the next 5 years. I love Ehler’s!
