Friday, March 1, 2024 - Was expecting a little more bricking / garnet color, but this is still a bright and concentrated ruby. If that’s indicative of the style here, this wine still has plenty of time to develop. Oak is pronounced (vanilla, light butterscotch) with underlying fruit (rich black berries) and wisps of green and black pepper.
Acid feels harsh and lingers with a buzzing intensity. Not sure if that will integrate, because the tannins feel primed and softened. Wanting more depth of fruit towards the finish.
