93 Points

Sunday, March 27, 2022 - Dinner at MingHin (Chicago, IL): Probably the best bottle of this that I've had so far. Ripe (but not overripe) fruit on the nose; more red than black, but amply sweet. We're talking sweet red plums kind of deal, not cherries or other berries. Opulent and luscious, this is a very large-scaled wine on the palate, with good acidity and some sweetness from the fruit. Moderately earthy and funky (as all CdP is), but more clean than not and readily drinkable. I think the tannins still have some ways to go towards softening, but this is a fantastic bottle of wine (and of course, one of the few CdPs I bother with at all).
