Sunday, May 31, 2015 - Nose: Plum, Black Cherry, Clove and Sweet Oak that gets more interesting as it unfolds. Palate: Silky right out of the gate with dark fruit, eucalyptus, cocoa, minerals, spice and some heat. Sweet soil notes with Plum, Licorice and Cherry fruit make this great. Finish: Moderate and showing some drying tannin/oak. This detracts from its future agability in some ways.
Definitely showed the best of three bottles, but given its neighbors (DA, Ovid, etc.) I had expected more in this window (8-10 years).
