Tuesday, August 2, 2022 - Popped and poured and drank out of plastic cups lol. Deep, pale red, with high toned Cabernet aromatics. Earthy bay leaf, leather, forest floor. Flavors are complex and layered, bright berry and chalky minerality. Not surprisingly reminds me of the recent Promontory wines made in neutral casks. It has a concentration and richness that isn't driven by oak or overripe-ness. It's like a sweet, simmering, dried cranberry sauce! Introspective, thought provoking and tasty.
