2002 Château d'Yquem

Community Tasting Note

Likes this wine:

94 Points

Tuesday, June 27, 2023 - Lovely, developed nose with layers of marmalade, dried apricot, honey, cinnamon and almond. Opulent but fresh on the palate with a great finish. Great but not mind-blowing wine. Less complex and intense than the 2006 tasted alongside.

WSET notes:

Medium amber.

Pronounced on the nose with marmalade, mushroom, hay, almond, dried apricot, caramel, honey, cinnamon. Fully developed.

Pronounced and sweet on the palate. Full body, high acidity, high alcohol, long finish.

Can drink now but has potential for aging.
