Friday, June 7, 2019 - Five winos excellent adventure , mostly in Burgundy; 6/7/2019-6/15/2019 (Beaune, France): Expressive nose displaying rich and luxurious black fruit, blackberry, a hint of raspberry, perfume, rose, milk chocolate, light caramel, cedar and limestone. Excellent concentration, beautifully layered rich black and red fruit, silky and sensual, warm and round, beautifully detailed, medium acidity, strong mineral and a long rich black fruit driven finish. The rich yet precise style reminds me Clos Rougeard Les Poyeux but perhaps even more interesting for my palate. Exceptional showing.
