Tuesday, June 6, 2006 - Perfect, limpid, blood red. Slight browning at extreme rim, but looking good for its age. Rich nose, but not especially fine, of hedgerow berries and mocha. Full mouth entry, lots of dark fruit flavours and a strong backbone of acidity holding it all together. Decent length with some astringent tannins coming through on the finish. Plenty here, but not very refined or harmonious. Probably better a few years back with a bit more fruit.
