Community Tasting Note

Saturday, April 27, 2019 - Seymour Wine Club Meeting 4/27/19 (Home of Lew Stanio): Tasted blind. The nose was a bit closed down at first but upon retasting, it had aromas of cherry, smoke and matchstick. Nose kind of was evolving as the night went on. Flavors of cherry, currant, a touch of plum and some earthiness. Ends with a 25 second finish with cherry notes. Once this came around it was drinking pretty well. Was difficult to tell this apart from the Rioja's because it had that similar Spanish earthiness. I gave this wine 92 points and it finished tied for 2nd.
