Tuesday, December 16, 2014 - The 25 year old edition of Nikka's Taketsuru blended malt whisky is a very rare sight - it was first released in 2012, and only 120 bottles were made available in Europe. The Taketsuru expression was named in honour of the company's founder, Masataka Taketsuru, made with malt whiskies from the Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries. The well-aged whiskies within this brilliant blended malt display a fantastic balance of Sherried goodness, floral elegance and a subtle hint of peat.
