Tuesday, September 20, 2011 - This is not a wine to drink lightly - as if it were an ordinary red wine. I tasted it paired with an intense dark chocolate desert and the result was a revelation. The herbal notes in the combined beautifully with the rich chocolate, which was not overly sweet. The wine's bitter finish was a great counterpoint, while it had enough acidity to stand up to everything the desert could throw at it. A very interesting pairing and one to which I would definately return.
