Saturday, April 6, 2024 - Was delicious with grilled lamb chops tonight! Palate was a bit wound up at open - acid and tannins stood out. With some time in the air, the wine opened up nicely - fruit stepped up to balance other elements. Didn't feel like this basic cuvee has the structure to continue to age beyond the next 2 years. Have two of their 2011 vineyard cuvees in the cellar - hoping they have a bit more staying power.
