Monday, January 1, 2024 - First day of the year in megeve, first lunch and paring with a pintade from colon at la Roche. All products from la Yaute except for the wine. No decant. Medium ruby color. Wild nose, leather, red cherries, mushroom, slight black pepper. Med acidity, med body, med alcohol, med flavor intensity, med tannins and med finish. Beautiful red fruit, leather, sous bois, black pepper, spices, very clean minerality. A real animal side to this wine which I love. Excellent.
