Saturday, December 1, 2018 - Not a 95+ chard. Compared to other Aubert SVD chards, I just think the fruit here is a little more muted. Maybe this means that this chard needs to sit a few years more. Compared to the 2016 SC chard that was opened up, there was less fruit but more complexity. IMO, not a full point of difference. Mango and Asian pear dense. Herbal. Full bodied. A delight as all Aubert chards certainly are. This one will hang on nicely I think, and wondering if 2 or 3 years might do this one well.
