Friday, March 13, 2020 - Excellent CA Chardonnay. Much stronger tension and acidity than I recall from past Aubert and while the fruit is there, oak is pretty inter grated and low. Perhaps I’ve drunk all of my Auberts too young? This was really enjoyable. Medium plus golden hue. Lemon and pineapple, great acidity. Medium to full bodied and long finish. The lack of minerality and reductive notes tell me it’s not Burgundy but I really liked this.
