Tuesday, November 17, 2020 - Zoom webinar, An Evening with Philippe Guigal, hosted by The Wine Society, UK, with Philippe Guigal introducing the wines. Opened from my cellar to drink during the webinar. Opened just 5 minutes before the webinar began, so I thought it would need time to breathe. But no, it was tasting well immediately. Medium garnet colour. Lovely fruity nose of dark berry fruits, cherries and spice, with a good balance of earthiness. Full and rich on the palate, very smooth, silky, great level of fruit. We finished the rest of the bottle with burgers (maybe a waste, but they were good burgers!). It held well for four hours. Very good.
