Monday, July 15, 2019 - Dinner with Maggie Harrison (Antica Terra / Lillian), Drinking her Great Wine + Great French Wine (Formento's - Chicago IL): Lots of black plum, berry cherry, savory spice with charming perfumed notes in very complex combination. Long, powerful and balanced all the way through a very long and impressive finish with elegant tannins. Comes across as less ripe than most Central Coast Syrah, but certainly still ripe enough. Fantastic and alluring now, probably with upside. My co-WOTN with Chave 1998 Hermitage.
