Wednesday, February 8, 2023 - Napa 2023: the quieter version; 2/6/2023-2/11/2023 (Napa/Sonoma California): Very soft and gentle. Darker fruits and light in style. I always love Monte Bello giving it the benefit of the doubt this is probably in a slightly dumb phase. With some time you get more darker fruits and a bit more spice. From ‘13 onward this wine has become a more cab dominated because of newer plantings that are more skewed towards cab. This is one of those earlier years of that.
