Deep primary color; red fruit, black fruit, slight spice, red pepper, bell pepper and some slight green; palate is full bodied, ripe and plush red and black fruits, silky tannins, fruit through the midpalate; long finish. Interestingly, this is greater than the sum of its parts (the varietal components tasted separately), but overall it seems riper than expected and also a bit reticent. I'm curious to see how this evolves with the final blends. 92-94 for now, but too early to tell for sure. Might be a 15 year Monte Bello instead of a 30 year one.
