Thursday, October 1, 2020 - Second bottle - very similar impressions to the first. Yummy, a touch simple, but well put-together and very food friendly. The nose was a touch sweet - with drifts of roses, raspberries and strawberries. Almost a bit of stewed fruit on the nose, with just a touch of minerality drawing it back. The palate was wrapped in a rather less than refined mousse, and probably would have benefitted from just a bit more zip. Other than that though, this was yummy enough, with a creamy raspberry and strawberry note lined with some lemon sherbet at the edges. Again, there were nice little drifts of floral, mineral and spice peeking out. Overall, not perfect, but certainly a neat little rose, with plenty of weigtt HT and verve to go with our food - good for a Friday lunch.
