Sunday, May 7, 2023 - Drank this time over 2 nights. The first night it was lots of dark fruit, lots of blackberry, dark chocolate, and a hint of lavender, there was also a fairly big bite on the nose from the alcohol. The palate was actually rather surprising. It is fulled bodied, tannins nicely integrated, good flavor profile and a decent dose of fruit. Again, as I found typical of Orin Swift wines, a decent dose of alcohol to burn at the tail end.

The second night was a bit more of the same. I enjoyed this wine and believe it is just starting to enter its drinking window however I don't believe it will ever loose that alcoholic feel to it, that is the Orin Swift style. Having tasted his entire profile - this is by far the best of the lineup - it is the most refined and well put together wine. Hope you enjoy it like I did, though a bit of yin and yang wine.
