Friday, December 25, 2009 - Double decanted 6 hours before serving with beef tenderloin on Christmas. Dark garnet. Lovely nose of graphite, anise, vanilla, and blackberry. Medium to full ripe palate of blackberry, black cherry, minerals, cedar, and pencil lead. Excellent length. Nice, focused acidity. Mild tannins. Really excellent Pauillac from 2003. Drinking well now with several hours decanting.
