Saturday, February 6, 2021 - Pleased to be trying this again. Med (+) ruby. Med (+) aromas of black fruit, smoky, roasted peppers, dried herbs, chocolate and spice. Subtle, elegant French oak. Dry, but fruit-forward. Med acidity, med., resolved tannins. The alcohol is high at 14.5% but is perceived more at med (+). Full-bodied, with med (+) intensity and length. Smooth, creamy mouthfeel, with a slight bitterness on the finish. Still one of the best, cleanest Pinotages I have ever had. Close to its peak, but it should show well for a couple more years.
