Sunday, June 25, 2023 - This wine still tastes and smells incredibly primary with beautiful deep black currant and blackberry notes alongside the piercing minerality all Clos Fourtet wines have due to the limestone plateau the vineyards are situated on. This incredibly subtle and delicious wine paired brilliantly with short ribs from the amazing Bicyclette restaurant. I recently visited the chateau and ordered 3 more of the 14’s so I am fascinated to see how this wine evolves over the next 2-3 decades! Overall: 93+
