Thursday, February 25, 2016 - This is the wine that saw extended barrel age (30 months) this year due to frost in the typical EBA Santa Barbara vineyard. Very old world style with plenty of musty funkiness initially. Mushrooms and soil blow off a bit revealing a mixture of stewed meats, ripe blackberry, sage, and creamy cassis. Drink now or hold a couple years.
