Wednesday, January 17, 2018 - Dinner at Margeaux Brasserie (Chicago, IL): Extremely young. The nose here is just explosive; there has to be a fair bit of viognier in this for you to get such lift. It's elegant, floral, and just a bit too juicy right now. The palate has too much fruity sweetness, but that is more a function of youth than a failure in winemaking. This wine needs to be aged for it to reach its full potential.
