Sunday, September 4, 2022 - 77% CS and 23% Merlot which is matured in 50% new oak. I bottle breathed this for 4 hours which opened up the perfume bouquet with hints of cedar too.

Plums and blackcurrants with dark chocolate lined my palate, with good intensity and a balanced full body.

This rich Margaux has sufficient depth and moderate complexity with a medium finish.

At USD 60-70 for a Bordeaux with this pedigree,it's still a reliable pop each and every time! Nevertheless, it lost out to the amazing Almaviva 2015 on this occasion.
