Sunday, August 26, 2018 - Oh, what a disaster. Some of my cellar is getting some age on it. Too much age. To help reduce it I am making some of the over the hill but still Ok stuff into Sangria. This published drinking window was over in 2011. My cellar is a perfect 55 but 2011. I opened it, smelled it to determine it was OK, poured an ounce or two in a wine glass to see how bad it was and poured the rest into Sangria. Then I tasted the wine in the glass. Did I know I wasted some great wine?!?! I have a bottle left and it won't go into Sangria for sure. From what I could tell from the little I drank of it RUSTYRUDY'S notes are right on target.
