Thursday, February 25, 2021 - Well for me this needed a 2 hour decant. Very St Julian but not very 2005... more like 2004?... lean, mean. Bright and fresh.. tannic in abundance, balanced with he great structure and lovely dark fruits. Earlier bottles have been variably received but this bodes well, for drinking over the next 5 years.

2/26/2021 10:41:00 AM - On day 2 I get much more of the richness of the vintage... lovely tension between leanness and tannins and the ripe fruit backed by the earthy tertiaries (if that’s a word)... lovely... up score to 93
