Sunday, August 6, 2017 - Luxurious riesling nose with hints of honeyed botrytis, zesty lime, wet slate, mimosa and ripe exotic fruits such as passion, melon and mango. Off-dry with an estimated 15-20 grams of residual sugar at 12% abv. Perfectly ripe fruit and brilliantly focused acidity. Suave texture and spicy minerality. Long lovely finish which underlines the saline aspects. All about pleasure (somewhat like the top stuff from Domaine Weinbach, if relatively lighter). An outstanding expression of a warm south-facing Mosel vineyard in a cool high-acid vintage. Ready to go.
