Tuesday, May 22, 2018 - Tasted blind I went directly to the point: a very young DC which isn't Volcanic Hills. Very clear to me our host was trying to match by contrast an older Monte Bello with a better-known young wine. The whole thing was on the nose with gorgeous, rusty aromas of iron and flesh meat. You also can find gooseberries and a earthy note. Multilayered. Elegant and classy. On the palette you can't stop salivating cause that high acidity and those rotund tannins that silkiness just try to put under control. Too young but with these elements so its time will come.
