Friday, March 19, 2021 - Big round meaty wine. Smooth and rich (28% Merlot). Plenty of tannin still to carry it off but just lacking the freshness and zip of the Pontet Canet 2005 tasted alongside. Don't get me wrong, this is good stuff but it seems quite advanced. Will hold and develop further I'm sure, but for the better? That's another question. For my tastes, drink now.
