Saturday, March 12, 2016 - Golden straw. Rich, forward nose of crème brûlée, honey, vanilla, and apple that come together with improbable concentration and intensity to suggest pain perdu. On the palate, incredible depth and complexity, yet beguiling weightlessness, with flavors of caramel and apple. This is an incredible blanc de blancs Champagne; the broad complexity coupled with deep intensity is stunning. This didn't show as well as an earlier bottle, but still a singular wine. Good now and for many years to come.
