Friday, October 8, 2021 - A lost Friday afternoon gathering – how to semi cheat in a blind tasting (Black Salt, Washington DC): Expressive nose displaying concentrated yellow fruit, fresh apple, baked apple, pear, lemon curd, light caramel, white flower, oyster shell, burnt sugar and crushed rocks. Exceptional concentration, layers upon layers of perfectly ripe pure yellow fruit, rich and oily yet incredibly focused and precise, bright acidity, strong limestone mineral, and a long concentrated pure yellow fruit driven finish with oyster shell at the end. This is perfectly mature yet pure and energetic example. It beautifully evolves in the glass. Exceptional showing.
