89 Points

Sunday, November 6, 2016 - Deep purple with a vague rim of brownish edge. M+ a mixture of ripe plum, candied strawberry and wulong tea and lesser box wood, as well as delicate violet and some Woodiness. Medium+ acidity, high alcohol, medium+ body, medium firm fine-grained tannin, dry. boxwood, vanilla and less plum on the palate. Very long finish, leafy wolong tea with lesser vanilla and cheese. Good balance although the alcohol is a little high, very long length lasting for minutes, good intensity and not over fruitied, very good complexity. The only regret is the hint of wetness of the wood smell undermined the purity of the fruits, otherwise this wine will be on quite another level. A quite good showcase of how good the unique terrior of Casablanca Valley can be. 89, drink now for the wetness, which is unsafe, and keep a close eye on this single vineyard.
