92 Points

Friday, June 21, 2019 - Glorious (call it 95) on night one. Less so (89?) on night two. On opening the red fruit is incredibly expressive and perfumed with spice and sweet tiny wild berries. Light bodied with sprightly acidity on the palate. Freshly, crunchy, and joyful. Really great and among the best D&R bottles I’ve had. On night two the wine has sadly shut down. Aromas are much more muted and the wine seems darker and a little more stewed. Unusual given that D&R bottles often show better after being open for a day. Could have just been the muggy weather today. Oh well, should have finished the bottle on the first night.
