2005 Château Lagrange (St. Julien)

Tuesday, July 23, 2019 - This wine is drinking in its prime window after 1 hour in the glass. Red raspberry, candy apple, cassis, barnyard, and cedar. Very light on its feet yet full bodied. Wine was bigger after a few hours. Sweetness throughout with nicely applied tannins. I suspect the bottle will age and grow for 5 plus years. Already showing secondary characteristics. Excellent bottle and worth three times the price.

7/24/2019 3:01:00 AM - I have plenty, thank you. My comment was to emphasize that the wine had a good QPR. Obviously, no one would buy it at 3 times the price so I would like to correct my statement and just say that it is a good value especially for those who purchased it in the futures market. I did feel the wine had a great feel probably due to its 2005 heritage. The year can really make a wine that is otherwise mediocre in and average growing season.
